Happy Easter With The Family

Hello Everyone!  It is hard to believe that Easter has come and gone already.  We had a good time with family and friends during the weekend.  I hope it was a fun time for you as well.

It is always nice to have a fresh flower bouquet for the Easter dinner table.  One of my favorite places to find fresh flowers is at the very charming Fresh Market here in Tallahassee.

Our daughter Stephanie and her husband were going to be hostessing Easter dinner at their home this time and I told her I would be happy to bring flower arrangements for the kitchen and dining room tables.

In the below photo we see the smaller arrangement that would be for the kitchen table.

And in the below photo we see the arrangement for the larger dining room table.
As you can see the flowers for each are very similar.

The below photo is from the internet showing a Fresh Market grocery.  From what I can find out these markets are mainly located in the Eastern part of the United States and were originally began back in 1982 in Greensboro, North Carolina.   The idea was to develop a better grocery store that brought back the feeling of open European-style markets.
It is a pleasure to enter into our Fresh Market grocery here in town and immediately hear the beautiful classical music being played in the background.  The next thing one notices immediately are the beautiful flowers.  There are so many beautiful flowers to choose from and definitely something for everyone.

These photos are from the internet and do show the many floral choices.

The below photo shows Easter dinner at our daughter's home ready to be served.

Each family contributed to Easter Dinner ... There was hot baked Prime Rib and rolls to make sliders, ham with pineapple slices and cherries, ham sauce, corn pudding, brocolli salad, mac and cheese, deviled eggs, and potato salad.

And in the below photo we see the kitchen table filled with Easter desserts.

The Saturday evening before Easter daughter Debi is seen finishing what has become
our traditional Easter Bunny cake.   Would not be Easter without him.

We color eggs and place the eggs all around the cake for decorations.
As you can see the names of all the grandchildren are written on the eggs.
Some of the writing is not very legible.

And daughter Stephanie made another adorable chocolate Easter cake complete with chocolate covered strawberries.  It reminds me of Peter Rabbit's garden.

And, one of the grandson's love these cookies seen in the below photo.   I usually see them in our local Publix grocery store during the Christmas holidays.  It was a surprise to see them available for Easter with Easter decorations.  Of course, I had to get them with grandson Preston in mind.

In the below photo is grandson Preston-15 on the left with his brother Lawson 12, his dad Charlie, his mom Sharon our daughter and big brother John Scott on the right.  Everyone was still dressed in their church clothes and the boys all wanted to go change into something more comfortable, so I snapped a quick couple of family photos.  One of the brothers is missing from this photo.....

Preston 15, Lawson 12, Dad Charlie, Daughter Sharon, grandson John Scott 21,
who is home from Troy, University for the Easter weekend.

Yes, our grandson Will-18  ...  the other brother is away now in Sydney, Australia and
we  wanted him to know he was still here with us in spirit.

John Scott, Mamaw, Will,  Papaw, Preston and Lawson

The below photo shows all the brothers when they were together ... That is Will in the middle in red.

A friend of our daughter Sharon saw Will's photo.  She sent it to a friend of hers in New York City.  They called Will for an interview for the IMG Modeling Agency, he was signed and has been traveling here and there ever since as a model for the agency.  He so far has traveled to first New York then London,  Japan,  Chile,  Milan, Italy, now Australia and then back to Japan.

But the below photo of him is one of my very favorites ... A quick hug from my Will as the whole family was visiting a Museum in Washington, D.C. a couple of years ago.

On Easter due to different activities I did not get all individual family photos,
so am including them from a collage photo of the rest of the family

Included we see daughters Stephanie, DNai and Debi and their families.

The below photo is the family gathered on our daughter Stephanie
and husband John's back porch steps for this Easter family photo.
Yes, we included our Will in this photo too.

In the next post for Sweet Southern Days I will share a couple of the recipes from our Easter dinner.

Thinking of you as we all enjoy these beautiful and delightful Spring days.  Wishing you a fun rest of your week and many blessings wherever you may be.
